I’m scrapbooking this cute photo of my baby girl during her first farm trip and tractor ride. I’ve paired her with papers from Make and Create as well as Craft Sensations for an easy and fun scrapbook layout.

Designer Scrapbook Papers
I love the designer papers from Make and Create. There are loads and loads of different designs to choose from. I’m literally spoilt for choice. The quality is great, they don’t feel thin or flimsy but they are fantastically good value.
I get them from the Works and typically pay just £4.00 a pack. Even on a tight budget I can afford to have a whole stack to choose from.
I picked out this beautiful green Nature pack to go with this photo of my baby girl enjoying her first tractor ride.
The bright red papers are taken from the Craft Sensations Brights Paper Pack. It’s been discontinued so I’ll be replacing mine with this pack from Papermania.
Paper Edging Technique
Once you have cut your papers to the size and shape you want you can add a little hint of colour to the edges using distress inks.
I start by laying my paper onto a piece of acetate. You can buy acetate in sheets or you can cut it from packaging which is just as good. You do need a flat sheet ideally bigger than the edge of your paper or card.
After choosing my ink colour I dab the ink blending tool onto the ink pad and sweep it from the acetate onto the edge of my paper. I always use a smooth sweeping motion starting and finishing on the acetate sheet.
There are lots of blending tool availible. I have the Ranger one and I’ve been happy with it so I haven’t tried any of the other brands. I use one ink pad for each colour.
On this scrapbook layout I’ve used Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

Scrapbook Embellishments
I found some little farm themed stickers in my stash and put them to good use.
I also added a few little star gems in contrasting red and some strips of washi tape.
