Winnie Penguin – A Handmade Christmas Card made with Digital Stamp and ProMarkers

I love these cute little digital stamps from the Winnie White Christmas collection from Polkadoodles. I’ve coloured them with ProMarkers and paired them with Christmas Night papers from Make and Create.

Digital Stamping

This Digi image is from Polkadoodles it’s part of their Winnie White Christmas range. 

I print my digital stamps onto Ultimate Graphic 160gsm paper. It’s bright white so my colours really pop and it’s super smooth surface makes blending easier.

I’ve coloured this little cutie with my Winsor & Newton BrushMarkers. Here’s the shade’s I’ve used:

Designer Papers

I picked out these beautiful Christmas Night papers from the Works. They still have some in stock at just £1.50 a pack.

I love the dark fantasy vibe of these papers.

For the solid papers I’ve used one of my favourites, the Brights paper pack from Craft Sensations.

Die Cutting

I use dies to make frames around my digital stamps. I always colour my image first in case I make a mess of it.

Then I choose a die shape and size that suits my image and run it through my die cutting machine.

On this card I have used XCut’s Oval and Scalloped Oval dies.

I like to use distress inks to add a bit of colour around my images. I use a Blending Tool to sweep the ink onto the edges of my die cut shape. For this card I’ve used .

Embellishments

I’ve added a length of gold glitter washi tape to give this Christmas card a little bit of sparkle.

And of course no Christmas card could possibly be complete without a few gems. I’m using Gold 3mm gems from Simply Creative.

For even more sparkle I’ve added some Stickles glitter glue to my card.

The greeting is simply printed from the greetings included when you buy the full Winnie White Christmas collection.

Take a Peak Inside

I think it’s such a shame to receive a beautifully decorated card only to open it and be faced with a blank page. So I use more of my designer papers to decorate the insides of my cards. I mostly use scraps leftover from the main design and a 9cm square of plain paper to write a nice message onto.
