I’ve journaled using a few flyers and children’s drawings from last Christmas. I love incorporating little bits of memorabilia into my layouts. I’m also currently loving the more informal style of creative journaling instead of my usual formal scrapbooks.
Designer Scrapbook Papers
I chose some leftover scraps from a designer paper pack I was using at the time. This one is a bright and fun Christmas themed paper pack from Craft Sensations, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. I had a little spending spree before Christmas and stocked up on a few of these fantastic value paper packs at my local Range.
I love the designer papers from Craft Sensations. There are loads and loads of different designs to choose from. I’m literally spoilt for choice. The quality is great, they don’t feel thin or flimsy but they are fantastically good value.
I get them from the Range and typically pay just £3.99 a pack. Even on a tight budget I can afford to have a whole stack to choose from.
Scrapbook Embellishments
I’ve cut most of my embellishments from the designer paper pack along with making use of a flyer I’d saved from the event we attended. I also squirreled away a little drawing one of my kids did whilst we were there.
I just needed to add a few touches of washi tape to hold a few bits in place. I needed a little extra space for journaling so I made the little Christmas Tree drawing into a lift up flap with space for journaling behind it.
