Ancestors – Creative Journal Inspiration

My Uncle kindly gave me some old photographs he had converted to digital files. Among them was a photo of my Great Grandmother. She was a suffragette and looks exactly like me, my mother and my grandmother. I’m fascinated wondering what challenges she faced in her life and how she handled them.

Designer Scrapbook Papers

I grabbed a pack of designer scrapbook papers to use on this layout. These Craft Sensations packs form the Range are so cheap I’ve been able to build up quite a stash of them. I’m loving having a good variety of different designs to choose from.

Scrapbook Embellishments

I’ve used some Washi Tape to decorate this layout. I like this trend of using washi tape in the corners of photos, it reminds me of the old fashioned photo albums that these pictures were probably taken from.

Hey there I’m Bridie, a busy mum to two amazing humans, a spirited border collie puppy and a pair of sweet guinea pigs. We homestead in a cherished Edwardian terrace in not so sunny Lancashire, England.

When I’m not spending time with my children and menagerie, I’m usually to be found in my craft room creating and blogging or in the kitchen cooking up a big batch of something tasty.
