Just check out those big, beautiful baby eyes!! The deep red and creamy colour combo was the perfect match for my My Mind Eye Antique Floral papers.
Designer Papers
I’m a big fan of the Antique Floral paper stack form My Mind’s Eye. It contains an incredible 180 sheets of designer paper. The patterns are mostly quite small scale which I personably really like. Mostly I prefer the smaller scale designs are I feel like they let the focal images take centre stage.

Embellishments
I wanted to keep the focus on the lovely MME papers so I kept embellishments to a minimum. I did add some texture to the paper strip with some old yarn, I honestly have no idea at all where it came from! I often save little scraps of fibres from packaging and knitting projects.

The scrapbook layout needed a little something else and this Papermania Butterfly embellishment jumped out at me. I think it compliments the papers quite well.

I still felt that the layout needed a little more texture. I pinched these leaves from the craft stash of the now six year old in the photos.

Scrapbook Page Title
For the page title I’ve used my XCut Mid West Alphabet die and a scrap of My Minds Eye Antique Floral paper.

I used a glue pen to stick each letter in place – sooo tedious!!! But totally worth it.

A Little Bit About Me . . .
Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the interweb. I’m Bridie.
I’ve been crafting since I was toddling around craft shows while my mum sold knitting yarn. She used to buy me a new craft kit to keep me busy. When I grew up I set up my own online craft shop and loved every minute of it. There’s is nothing like the thrill of getting to be one of the first people to see new craft collections.
I sold my business to focus on raising my two children. They’re still young so for now I’m blogging my craft projects and sharing tutorials to inspire you. I love creating handmade cards with digital stamps. I scrapbook to preserve precious memories of my kids childhoods. I knit and sew to keep my kids in comfortable, unique clothes they love. I create batch cooked meals that give me more time to craft. And because I’m not currently earning I do all of this on a teeny tiny budget.
I’ll show you all the best ways to craft on a tight budget so you can still create a life you love.

I’ve included links to my favourite retailers for the products I’ve used to make my crafts. Click on any of the product images and links for full details. If you decide to buy any of these products I may get a small percentage of what you spend. There’s no cost to you at all.
