I found myself mesmerised with the faces my new born baby made. This scrapbook sketch from Stick It Down was the perfect way to record them all in one layout.
Designer Papers
I don’t tend to use a lot of pink in my crafting but it was the perfect choice for the small mountain of baby girl photos I’ve got to scrapbook. So I treated myself to this It’s a Girl paper stack from First Edition.
I really like the First Edition papers, the quality is second to none and the designs are always versatile.

Embellishments
I particularly like the tag sheet which is included in the It’s a Girl paper pack. Having perfectly co-ordinating embellishments handy makes it easy to add the finishing touches to a scrapbook layout.

I also added a card topper that I’ve removed from a commercial card that was given to me when my daughter was born.
It’s a nice way to keep some elements of the greetings cards I was given without keeping just a stack of cards. It’s also a great source of free embellishments. Especially in the case of baby cards, most of the commercial cards I received perfectly co-ordinate with the pink colour scheme I’ve inevitably chosen for most of my new baby photos.

I’ve added a little bit of organza ribbon to some of the tags to tie them all in together.
Scrapbook Page Title
I don’t have many alphabet stickers and I’m trying to reduce my scrapbooking stash at the moment so I’m trying to avoid buying any. I’d love a nice big alphabet die set but my funds just won’t stretch to that at the moment.
So I have to get creative with my existing stamps and dies. And I’m OK with that, after all getting creative is the entire point right?

I often use this technique of stamping my title onto little tags or die cut shapes. This way I can make my title stand out and make it the size I want whilst only using my existing alphabet stamp set.
I use tags so much on my cards and scrapbook layouts that I treated myself to this tag die set from Sizzix. I’m really pleased with how much I reach for it, so it’s turning out to be a great investment. It makes me really happy when my scrapbooking supplies earn their keep so to speak.
Products I’ve Used

I’ve really enjoyed working with the It’s a Girl papers from First Edition. I’ve got plenty of papers left over to scrapbook the rest of my baby girl photos.
I do hope my latest scrapbook project has given you some inspiration for your own scrapbook pages.
