World Fireworks Championships Blackpool

We took a trip to Blackpool to watch the World Fireworks Championships.

There was a football match on the same day so Blackpool was very, very busy. Too busy to be comfortable with young children.

Little Dude had accident shortly after we arrived. He needed to take a trip to hospital to get checked out. He’s going to be fine but it still put a serious dampener on our day.

I did get to enjoy a trip to the Range with Little Miss. Where we picked up some craft supplies for a school project she will be working on this half term. I’m delighted that she’s getting into crafting. It’s also a great excuse for me to have a bit of a splurge.

Thankfully little dude’s injury didn’t need any treatment so we were able to make the firework display, all be it from a distance.

The display was pretty impressive and the kids enjoyed it. They wee overtired from such an eventful day.

Public transport was a nightmare. All the buses and trams were full and it took us hours to get on a packed bus. We then had a half hour walk back to our caravan.

So not a great day but that’s not down to the event itself. Take away the football revelers and the trip to minor injuries and it would have been a lovely day out.
