I’ve made a fun scrapbook layout featuring cute photos of my baby girl’s first Pancake Day. I’ve paired it with Craft Sensations papers, Jungle Dreams and die cuts from XCut and Spellbinders.
Designer Scrapbook Papers
I love the designer papers form Craft Sensations. There are loads and loads of different designs to choose from. I’m literally spoilt for choice. The quality is great, they don’t feel thin or flimsy but they are fantastically good value.
I get them from the Range and typically pay just £2.99 a pack. Even on a tight budget I can afford to have a whole stack to choose from.

The blue green of my baby girl’s plate seemed to be the most dominant colour in the photo, along with the orangey hue which I’m guessing would be from the sunset in the background. It seemed to match the Pancake Day vibe so I’ve gone for a teal ish and orange colour combination.

Scrapbook Embellishments
Lots of embellishments on this page!
For starters there the large circle in the background. This is cut using XCut extra large circle die. I’ve then inked the edges in Distress Ink, Evergreen Bough.

I thought a few floral embellishments were in order so I’ve cut some flowers using Spellbinder’s Jewel Flowers and Flourishes die set. The centres looked a little lost so I added some of my white glitter flowers and pearl centres.

My scrapbook layout needed a little something more so I added a heart tag that this baby girl bought me. And a little wooden heart that she also got me.
Scrapbook Page Title
I wish I’d planned out this title a little better before sticking it in place – the Y is hiding under one of my flowers!

I’ve cut it using XCut Mid West alphabet die.

A Little Bit About Me . . .
Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the interweb. I’m Bridie.
I’ve been crafting since I was toddling around craft shows while my mum sold knitting yarn. She used to buy me a new craft kit to keep me busy. When I grew up I set up my own online craft shop and loved every minute of it. There’s is nothing like the thrill of getting to be one of the first people to see new craft collections.
I sold my business to focus on raising my two children. They’re still young so for now I’m blogging my craft projects and sharing tutorials to inspire you. I love creating handmade cards with digital stamps. I scrapbook to preserve precious memories of my kids childhoods. I knit and sew to keep my kids in comfortable, unique clothes they love. I create batch cooked meals that give me more time to craft. And because I’m not currently earning I do all of this on a teeny tiny budget.
I’ll show you all the best ways to craft on a tight budget so you can still create a life you love.

I’ve included links to my favourite retailers for the products I’ve used to make my crafts. Click on any of the product images and links for full details. If you decide to buy any of these products I may get a small percentage of what you spend. There’s no cost to you at all.
