I love this bright and colourful photo of my baby girl taking a rare nap – honestly a nap was a photo worthy event!! To this day I’m seriously impressed with myself for surviving so many months of sleep derivation. A simple nap was definitely a high point at this stage of my life and therefore it was something I celebrated with whatever gusto my exhausted heart could muster.
Designer Scrapbook Papers
I love the designer papers from Craft Sensations. There are loads and loads of different designs to choose from. I’m literally spoilt for choice. The quality is great, they don’t feel thin or flimsy but they are fantastically good value.
I get them from the Range and typically pay just £2.99 a pack. Even on a tight budget I can afford to have a whole stack to choose from.
I bought this rainbow coloured Wonderful paper pack with some unicorn Digital Stamps in mind. But the fresh bright rainbow colours where the perfect match for the rainbow colours on my baby girls play mat.
Scrapbook Embellishments
One of the many things i like about the Craft Sensations paper packs in that they often include extra elements like tags and small images. On this scrapbook layout I’ve fussy cut some of the little images and stuck them onto my page.
I found this perfect sweet ribbon in my stash. I’ve layered it on top of a length of organza ribbon.
For a fun touch in an otherwise plain corner I’ve added some die cut bunting.
Scrapbook Page Title
I’ve die cut the title using one of my favourite dies, Mid West from XCut.
Like the rest of the paper panels on my scrapbook layout I’ve mounted the title panel onto plain white card. I usually use plain coloured papers or plainer papers from the designer paper pack I’m using but for these bright rainbow colours I really wanted to use white to frame them. I’ve cut the white card 1/8 of an inch bigger than my designer papers.
