I’ve got some leftover So Crafty Aran knitting yarn from a sweater I knitted. I’m knitting a matching pair of fingerless gloves using this free Easy Fingerless Mittens knitting pattern.
Materials
I’m knitting this Maguire Clan Aran in Aldi’s So Crafty Aran yarn in colour Misty Mauve. It’s a lovely dusky purple shade. The yarn knits up nicely enough and it’s super cheap to buy. It does tend to bobble more than I’d like. But after a few months of washing and wearing the bobbling does seem to settle down and stop getting any worse. On the whole, this has become one of my favourite budget yarn brands.
I’m using the 4mm knitting needles recommended in the knitting pattern.
Knitting Pattern
I’ve followed the Easy Fingerless Mittens from Marianna’s Lazy Daisy Days.
It’s a free knitting pattern and it’s availible in children’s to adult’s sizes.
I’ve found to to be a fantastic pattern for using up leftover yarn. What better way to put it to use than by making accessories to co-ordinate with the bigger project?

I do hope my Easy Fingerless Mittens Knitting project has inspired you to have a go at knitting your own mittens with your leftover bits of yarn.

A Little Bit About Me . . .
Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the interweb. I’m Bridie, mum to two small humans, full time homemaker and full time craftaholic – which totally explains why I’m always short on time!

I’ve included links to my favourite retailers for the products I’ve used to make my crafts. Click on any of the product images and links for full details. If you decide to buy any of these products I may get a small percentage of what you spend. There’s no cost to you at all.
