This is the first scrapbook sketch challenge I’ve done in ages. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed crafting with sketches.
Designer Papers

I love this masculine range from Papermania, it’s called Mr Smith’s Workshop. It’s quite similar in style to Tim Holtz’s papers but at a much lower price point.

Scrapbook Page Title
One of the things I particularly like about the Mr Smith’s Workshop papers is that they include a sheet of lettering. It’s a bit fiddley to cut out individual letters for the scrapbook page title but it’s so worth it to have perfectly co-ordinating alphas.
Embellishments
The Mr Smith’s Workshop includes some brads in a variety of muted shades and two sizes. They are the perfect finishing touch for masculine projects.
This is my first use of my new Sizzix Framelits Tags Die Set. I really like using tags as embellishments. They add a little something to the layout without being feminine or remotely fussy.
I also had a rummage through my stash of metal charms and picked out this clock face charm that I’ve been hoarding.
Despite the masculine feel of the layout I chose this little wooden butterfly. I inked it with my distress ink pad so make it match the colour scheme of the rest of my layout.
Products I’ve Used
Most of the products I’ve used on this layout have long since been discontinued. But I’ll include the images I have for them.

I do hope my latest scrapbook layout has inspired you to have a go at scrapbooking your own photos and memories.

A Little Bit About Me . . .
Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the interweb. I’m Bridie.
I’ve been crafting since I was toddling around craft shows while my mum sold knitting yarn. She used to buy me a new craft kit to keep me busy. When I grew up I set up my own online craft shop and loved every minute of it. There’s is nothing like the thrill of getting to be one of the first people to see new craft collections.
I sold my business to focus on raising my two children. They’re still young so for now I’m blogging my craft projects and sharing tutorials to inspire you. I love creating handmade cards with digital stamps. I scrapbook to preserve precious memories of my kids childhoods. I knit and sew to keep my kids in comfortable, unique clothes they love. I create batch cooked meals that give me more time to craft. And because I’m not currently earning I do all of this on a teeny tiny budget.
I’ll show you all the best ways to craft on a tight budget so you can still create a life you love.

I’ve included links to my favourite retailers for the products I’ve used to make my crafts. Click on any of the product images and links for full details. If you decide to buy any of these products I may get a small percentage of what you spend. There’s no cost to you at all.
