How to Make Classic Humous Dip

There’s just one fiddley step to make this Classic Humous Dip Recipe.

You need to peel the chick peas.

I know it’s fiddley and boring and oh so time consuming. But it’s worth it I promise. You can just blend the chick peas with their skins on but it tends to give the humous a gritty texture instead of silky smooth.

To peel the chick peas take each chick pea and hold it between your thumb and forefinger. Apply just a little pressure and the skin should slip off.

Reserve the liquid and dispose of the chick pea skins.

Once that’s out of the way this Classic Humous Dip Recipe is super easy.

Use a garlic press to mince the garlic.

Then you just pop the ingredients into a food processor and blend.

Add the reserved chick pea juice.

Then add the spices and lie juice a little at a time. Keep giving it a taste test and add the spices until you’re happy.

Add plenty of salt too, it really elevates the taste of this Classic Humous Dip Recipe.
