I’m scrapbooking these winter photos of my dog enjoying the snow. I’ve paired them with Tropical State of Mind paper from Craft Sensations and XCut dies for a clean and simple scrapbook page.
Designer Scrapbook Papers
I love the designer papers from Craft Sensations. There are loads and loads of different designs to choose from. I’m literally spoilt for choice. The quality is great, they don’t feel thin or flimsy but they are fantastically good value.
I get them from the Range and typically pay just £2.99 a pack. Even on a tight budget I can afford to have a whole stack to choose from.
Surprisingly this Tropical State of Mind paper pack was the right fit for these snowy photos. The muted greys echoed the snowy sky and the abstract flowers resemble falling snowflakes.
Scrapbook Embellishments
I’ve put my circle die cuts to work on this scrapbook page. For each one I’ve die cut a plain circle and a matching scalloped circle and mounted the plain on top of the scalloped circle. I like the soft look they give to this scrapbook layout.
I’ve also added a few silver gems and a strip of washi tape. The washi tape wasn’t part of my original plan but I accidently put some of the phots in the wrong place and tore the paper slightly. I was able to cover up most of the mess but one of the tears was just next to the edge of the paper. I had the bright idea of covering it with a strip of washi tape and doing the same at the top of the layout so that they matched.
Scrapbook Page Title
I’ve gone for a clean and simple title and die cut some big and bold letters using my XCut Mid West die. To make the title stand out I cut the letters from plain white card. They are stuck in place with my trusty glue pen.
