I’m scrapbooking these adorable photos of my baby girl dressed as a flower girl for her uncle’s Wedding Day. I’ve chosen the delicate Floral Muse papers from Dovecraft and embellished my scrapbook page with ribbons and die cuts from Spellbinders.
Designer Scrapbook Papers
Dovecraft’s Floral Muse collection is full of delicate pinks on neutral backgrounds with a vintage almost Victorian vibe. It was just the right choice for these delicate photos of my Baby Girl dressed in her white Flower Girl dress and cute headband.
Scrapbook Embellishments
I’ve made use of the Paper Dollies that are in the Dovecraft Floral Muse collection.
Then I’ve topped them with die cuts from my favourite die set, Floral Flourishes by Spellbinders. I’ve inked the edges of the flowers with Tea Dye distress ink. I’ve stuck a button to the centre of each flower.
For a bit of texture I’ve added layers of ribbon. I’ve used my favourite organza ribbon and layered it with some woven ribbon that I’ve cut off some packaging at some point. I love saving scraps of ribbon from packaging – it’s amazing what you can find to embellish your scrapbook pages for free.
And of course I’ve stuck everything down with my favourite double sided tape. I use cheap and cheerful 6mm double sided tape. It’s just as good as the branded stuff, only cheaper. The 6mm width is cheaper than the usual 12mm and it works almost as well, especially for scrapbook pages that are going to be stored in an album. This tape also tears easily with your fingers – no need to pay extra for the tear-able tape.
Scrapbook Page Title
For the scrapbook page title I’ve die cut letters using XCut’s Mid West alphabet die. I didn’t have any white card handy so I’ve used the wrong side of some of the scraps of paper from the Dovecraft Floral Muse paper pack.
