I cannot believe how quick and easy this Microwave Chocolate Sponge pudding is to prepare. It takes only a matter of minutes and can be whipped up at a moment’s notice from ingredients we always have on hand.
Ingredients
- 100g Self Raising Flour
- 100g Butter
- 100g Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
For the Topping
- Chocolate Nut Spread
- A Splash of Milk

How to Make Microwave Chocolate Sponge Cake
This Microwave Chocolate Sponge Cake recipe is ridiculously simple. Just weigh the ingredients into a bowl and mix them together.

Pop the mixture into the microwave for four minutes.

Put the Chocolate Sponge Cake to one side to cool down while you make the topping.

For the topping simply mix a few tablespoons of chocolate nut spread and a splash of milk. Heat it up gently on the hob or pop it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.

Pour the chocolate nut spread topping over the Chocolate Sponge Cake and enjoy!!
We like it with custard but it is also epic with cream or ice cream.
