My Little Miss loves the Rozzlyn dress and Peplum tops. They’re sewn from super stretchy fabric for maximum playtime comfort and twirling fun.
Rozzlyn Dress and Top Sewing Pattern
This sewing pattern is by Max and Meena who designed the very first digital patterns I ever used. I was hooked at first sew and haven’t stopped since.
Digital patterns are great for kids clothes because you just print the size you want, no tracing or messing about trying to preserve the larger sizes of the pattern for using as your child grows. They generally come with loads of different options and a wider size range than traditional paper sewing patterns.
The Rozzlyn is typical of Max and Meena’s sewing patterns. It comes with every sleeve variety imaginable, including a flutter sleeve which my Little Miss loves. Then there’s loads of different skirt options, full circle for maximum twirl, handkerchief, peplum and more. I haven’t even managed to try them all yet!
Fabric
I’m sewing with this gorgeous stretch Lycra fabric that I picked up in my local fabric shop’s closing down sale. Seriously people, if you want your local craft shops to survive get in there and spend your money with them. Both my local fabric and yarn shops have closed last year. And calling them local was a stretch to start with as they were both a 45 minute drive away. I will sorely miss my annual pilgrimage to splurge my savings on softness.
Design Choices
This time I’m sewing the Rozzlyn dress with a hood as requested by my Little Miss.
I’ve opted for the short sleeves as I’m making this for summer wear.
As always I’ve sewn the full circle skirt. My Little Miss won’t accept anything less these days.
