This is one of my favourite photos of our dog whom we lost a few years ago. I wanted to make his face the focus and so I kept the colour scheme neutral and echoed the grass with green papers from Craft Sensations.
Designer Scrapbook Papers
I love the designer papers form Craft Sensations. There are loads and loads of different designs to choose from. I’m literally spoilt for choice. The quality is great, they don’t feel thin or flimsy but they are fantastically good value.
Scrapbook Embellishments
I’ve kept the embellishments pretty minimal to keep the focus firmly on the photo.
But I did assemble a little die cut flower with a small button and a pearl in the centre. I’m really pleased with how it came out, the foiled papers catch the light and make the flower stand out just a little bit.
I used one of my favourite flower dies, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals.
I also added a little corner arrangement of gems onto two of the opposite corners. I’m loving the subtle touch of sparkle they give this scrapbook layout.
Scrapbook Page Title
With such a short title, just the dog’s name, it was easy to make a really stand out page title. I die cut the letters and stuck them onto die cut flags. Then I stuck the flags onto the scrapbook page using 3D foam pads so that they trap a length of covered wire underneath them.

I love creating handmade cards with digital stamps. I scrapbook to preserve precious memories of my kids childhoods. I knit and sew to keep my kids in comfortable, unique clothes they love. I create batch cooked meals that give me more time to craft. And because I’m not currently earning I do all of this on a teeny tiny budget.
