How to Make Treacle Sponge Pudding
This Treacle Sponge Pudding recipe is ridiculously simple. Just weigh the ingredients into a bowl and mix them together.

Pop the mixture into the microwave for four minutes.
Drizzle some golden syrup over the top as soon as the microwave is finished.

Let the sponge cool a little before serving, especially if it’s destined for the plates of small people, it will be piping hot!!
Treacle Sponge Pudding Recipe Variations
Treacle Sponge Pudding is just one variation on this versatile recipe.
I often make it with cocoa powder and hot chocolate nut spread as the topping. Just mix the chocolate spread with a little mix and microwave it for half a minute to soften it up nicely.
Little Miss loves this recipe with lemon curd. A good sized dollop of lemon curd mixed with a dash of water and heated in the microwave – it’s delicious!
