Making Your Own Handmade Christmas Crafts
Making your own handmade crafts is a fun and relaxing (if addictive!!) hobby that will allow you to make truly personalised gifts for your family and friends. You don’t need any fancy equipment or materials to get started. Don’t get me wrong you’ll want ALL THE THINGS but you can start enjoying crafting without spending much. I love impressing my loved ones with unique handmade gifts that really show them how much I care.
Craft Supplies You’ll Need to Make Your Own Christmas Bows
- Thin Wire such as florists wire or binding wire
- Sharp scissors – your kitchen scissors will do just fine.
- Wide Wired Velvet Ribbon
How to Make Christmas Bows – Step 1
Cut two lengths of ribbon 30cm long.
How to Make Christmas Bows – Step 2
Fold one in half so that the two ends meet in the middle.
How to Make Christmas Bows – Step 3
Lay the other length of ribbon on top of the first so that the centre’s line up on top of each other.
How to Make Christmas Bows – Step 4
Place a length of wire underneath the pair of ribbons, lined up with the centres.
How to Make Christmas Bows – Step 5
Pull the two ends of the wire together so that the centre point of the ribbons is scrunched up evenly.
How to Make Christmas Bows – Step 6
Twist the wire to secure it.
How to Make Christmas Bows – Step 7
Arrange the bow to your liking.
How to Make Christmas Bows – Step 8
Fold the ends of the ribbon in half and cut them off at an angle.
